About

Gail Bruner is the owner and founder of YogaVille Studios and TumbleVille Studios (tumbling for kids).

Gail’s yoga practice draws from 6 years of Ashtanga experience and 9 years of Iyengar classes & workshops with Julie Lawrence, Rodney Yee, Gay White, Donald Moyer, John Schumacher, Richard Freeman, Richard Miller, Jane Carlson, Gabriella Giubilaro, Rebecca Lerner and Patricia Walden. She spent Fall 2010 in a Teacher Development program learning about the Iyengar tradition. Gail’s personal practice blends sun salutations and standing sequences from the Ashtanga system while utilizing the principles of the Iyengar system. As an advanced student of yoga, Gail works daily at lining up the bones of her body, in a quiet yet challenging practice.

She is a former competitive gymnast with 25 years of teaching experience. Gail has a B.S. in Human Services and Therapeutic Recreation and, a Teaching Certification in Elementary Education. She has been a marathon runner, rock climber, and masters’ swimmer; her current passions are yoga and youth fitness. Some of her achievements and training follow:
